Adams Consulting Group were retained by CSC to deliver Braehead Phase 2. This four year programme involved the remediation of approximately 130 acres of brownfield land together with the delivery of new primary infrastructure to facilitate a series of commercial and residential developments.
Phase 1 of the project centres on a 600,000 sq.ft. shopping centre which houses over 100 shops and an integral Leisure Centre, comprising a 4,000 seat multi-purpose arena, two ice rinks and a food and beverage hub.
The Second Phase involves the preparation by remediation of approximately 130 acres of brownfield land in readiness for a series of commercial and residential developments and the provision of a replacement Kings Inch Road, a one kilometre four lane road with cycle and footpaths, integrated services, landscaped zones and traffic signalled junctions providing access to and through the development sites.

Part of the project works was the construction of a 700 metre riverside walkway and emergency access linked to the Kings Inch Road by a seven acre landscaped park, constructed between development sites.
Further associated project works in progress include modifications to the existing infrastructure network to accommodate increased traffic flow and development requirements, increases by additional lanes to Junction 26 of the M8 motorway and the provision of new workshop facilities for the existing shopping centre. Adams Consulting Group are retained as advisors and project managers to Capital Shopping Centres for construction and development works to the shopping centre and to further phases of the Braehead project.
Forming one of the largest riverside developments in Europe, the project has placed Braehead on the map as a major shopping destination.
